Preliminaries
I use a kinetic form to project by touching a visualised tree in the vibrational state. But then I somehow am in my 'Lightportal' again which is the childhood bedroom of my youth. I get up from that bed and fly out of the window at night to take a few rounds which is always fine and fun to do. Only then I remember my goal of doing a retrieval.
Account
I land down in the courtway of my childhood home and look around. Then for the first time ever I spontaneously put my hand palms together and hold them before my face and chant ‚Om‘.
This seems to do the trick. I look around and behind me I detect a guy who comes up to me. He wears some traditional clothing (maybe like a carpenter or a chimney sweeper) while he holds a huge glass of beer and takes a nip at it. He does not seem very drunk to me, rather a bit on the ‚tipsy‘ side.
When he spots me he seems to get a bit wary of me, but not in a fearful way. I learn the reason for this promptly because he then says:
‚I know you guys, you have tried this before!'
I do not remember if I asked this of him but he then tells me he is from ‚Ostwestfalen‘ (Eastern Westphalia).
I assume already by his first remark he meant my intent to retrieve him and that he does not want to be taken ‚away‘ from this level. So this was not the first time someone tried this. He seems content with his beer and overall situation including his 'astral lifestyle'. We then walk out of the driveway into the street and walk a little while talking.
I do not remember a lot of the conversation but I was clear about my mission and I tell him I know a guy (whom I named ‚Kalle‘ for no deeper reason since I made him up on the spot, a funny German nickname short version of Charles or Carl, such as Charly) whom he can meet because that guy knows the very best sort of beer around, much better than the one he is drinking right now.
He at least seems a bit intrigued about it but still does not seem to trust me. Yet he walks along with me and is listening when I tell him about the superior beer.
We then turn right into an urban footpath (still really existing in the physical in ‚my‘ hometown street) that goes slightly downhill connecting the street we were on to the parallel street ‚below‘. I point to the end of it and say we can meet 'Kalle' over there. Then things start to happen fast.
The footpath turns into an escalator and at the bottom end I see smoke or fog and light coming out of it, with the moving stairs it approaches us fast, so we are facing a wall of light and smoke/fog. The drunkard also looks part sideways part back to me because I instinctively stayed back a little knowing this is 'for him'.
Then the fog/smoke and the upward moving escalator reaches him while he seemed to crouch down a little. There also seem to come small sparks of this light out of the escalator and somehow then the sparks and the fog/smoke engulf him fully, but it is not in a menacing or evil way.

He then disappears and with him the whole ‚magickal show‘ of light, smoke/fog and the ground is no moving stairway anymore. Everything is ‚back to normal‘ and I stand alone on this footpath that looks like before and more or less identical to its corresponding version in the physical. I then fade out, almost voluntarily, knowing I might have accomplished my ‚mission‘.
Analysis
This seems an F2 retrieval to me. Unlike the drowned children retrieval before that it was not in a stable environment but rather in my own dreamscape intermingling with the one of the retrievee. Since I started out in my own F2 environment (childhood town and parent home) I kind of 'imported' him into my dreamscape which does not mean he perceived it as such, since perceptions on this plane of existence are subjective and he still might have been moving about in his own familiar environment somehow while yet interacting with me.
Fred Aardema also describes this phenomenon for an retrieval event of a child in his book. There he also first stood on a road outside of town familiar to him from his own childhood days and then he met a child to be retrieved and they both ran towards town and the town centre signifying 'home'. Then the town became more familiar to the child than to him the nearer they got to the centre. This is a typical ‚dreamscape‘ merging that happens in F2, the private astral areas. These areas are not always that private after all because they can 'merge' or mix, especially during so-called shared dreaming, lucid dreams, retrievals like this or projectors ‚visiting‘ dreamers in their dreamscapes. Your dreamscape is always for the most part your own thought projection and you virtually carry it with you all the time and in thought-responsive areas like the low astral (F2) these private dreamscapes are easily projected outward also for others to see.
The metaphor of the upward moving escalator with the light is very clear to me. So the „handover“ was a light procedure this time. I would have liked to see ‚Kalle‘ (Charly) which would have been the retriever guide from the non-physical side (from higher F3) in disguise. However, it is very often the case that you do not see the helpers themselves but rather a ‚light event‘ or an ‚upward moving‘ event takes place, in this case it was even both landmark aspects combined. This for me is proof enough that it was a genuine retrieval. By the way, in the physical, the footpath which has a slope indeed has some stairs at its lower end. So the stairs came to us (moving uphill!) to literally 'elevate' the retrievee.
I could generously give a small and modest validation score to the Ostwestfalen (Eastern Westphalia) datapoint because at that time I did not know that it was the legit historical name of a region or district. I just found out now. Hence it did not just mean, as I had thought prior to my research, that he was from the eastern part of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia but instead he gave me the proper name of his native region. (This is somewhat analogous to the proper names for e.g. the states of Northern Ireland or North Carolina in the English-speaking world. Besides the 'regional/cardinal' meaning of the word 'North' it is at the same time an official part of the state name.). Here is the Wikipedia entry for this area:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ostwestfalen-Lippe
However, as we know the skeptical argument is still valid claiming that we ingest so much information during our lives subconsciously that I might have heard or read about this regional district before. Still, it is rather strange why it should come up spontaneously as I cannot find any specific reason for this or any prior connection to it.
Needed improvements:
1. Ask personal names of the retrievees, not just where they are from (although this is the second most important detail for identifications and even possible verifications afterwards).
2. Use the Void as a hub in order to be faster on-location and also to remember my goal of doing retrievals earlier.
On a positive note:
I should keep the action with the hands folding and OM chanting since it seemed to bring about the 'higher purpose' and 'imported' the retrievee into 'my dreamscape scene' rather than the other way round (and usual mode) with me having to find the retrievee. Maybe that is really a cool and easier way to go about retrievals? I shall try this again.
